Infant Care

In the Lady Bug (Infant) room, we understand that every child is unique and has their own schedule. We will follow your child's personal schedule throughout the day. We keep a daily sheet for your child recording when and what they ate, when they napped, and how their day was. These sheets will go home with you nightly.

We utilize the Beautiful Beginnings Curriculum. This curriculum introduces hands-on activities, experience, concepts, and skills appropriate to each child’s stage of development, and is also designed to reinforce social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.

We read stories, sing songs, and spend time cuddling each day. We allow the children tummy time each day as well as giving them time for individual exploration and experiences. Ask us more about our infant care.

Pre-School

For our pre-school children, we utilize Creative Curriculum. Creative Curriculum allows our teachers to create a high-quality learning environment. The curriculum offers several different areas of study which provide hands-on, project-based investigations focusing on building children's confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills. Creative Curriculum is used by several childcare and head start programs throughout the state including Lincoln Public Schools Pre-School programs. Along with Creative Curriculum, we utilize the Second Step Social-Emotional Skills for Early Learning Curriculum. This Curriculum provides skills for learning empathy, emotional management, friendship, and problem-solving. The curriculum also provides Kindergarten transition skills and is used in the Lincoln Public Schools for their pre-school classrooms as well.

The children have access to interest areas set up around the room. Specific activities are rotated throughout the year to provide the children with an enriching learning environment year-round.

School Age

The school-age program at Merry Manor School of Childhood provides before and after-school transportation to several of the area elementary schools. These include Huntington, Hartley, Riley, Randolph, and Eastridge Elementary School. After school, we provide tutoring for every grade. Our teachers will help with every subject in school including english, math, reading and science, and occasionally social studies!! When the children are not in school, we provide multiple days of activities and fun for them! Some of the activities include spontaneous trips to Target and or Super Saver. We also love to take our class out mini-golfing, bowling, Lost-In-Fun, the pool, including trips to Star City Shores, and our infamous annual trip to Fremont Splash Pad!

During the summertime, our teachers plan many art activities. We challenge the children to explore their minds with our science days! We also explore the galaxies learning about astronomy and the planets!! We celebrate many of the national food days. Some of our favorites include National Donut Day, and National Hot Dog Day, we also love to include several of the Ice cream days with snacks and movies.
